1. Go to www.bitpim.org and download the latest official version. Currently 1.0.5

2. Once Bitpim is installed, run it and plug in your phone.

3. Click OK when Bitpim says it has detected your phone.

4. In the far left window of Bitpim you will see a menu (Basically, this is your phone), click on Filesystem.

5. This will open a middle window with a folder icon. Click on the + sign to expand that folder. It might take a couple of seconds to open, as it is reading your phone.

6. Click on the + sign next to the folder labeled Brew.

7. Click on the + sign next to the folder labeled Mod.

8. Click on the folder labeled 10888 for pictures or 10889/ringtones for ringtones. The window on the right will now show all the pictures or ringtones currently on your phone.

9. Drag and drop the wallpapers or ringtones you have saved on your computer into that far right window.

You're done. Reboot your phone using Bitpim, or do it manually, and the pictures or ringtones should be there

I just bought an ATT LG Shine CU720 then I bought a data cable "LGVX8500" that said it would be compatible with my shine.  I go to plug in the usb drive into my computer and it doesn't recognize.  I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the data cable is completely useless. Or if its not can someone explain to me how to use it step by step?  When I plug in the usb to install it wont do that either.

none of the Shine models are listed on that page, but with the right drivers some people are getting them to work...
